| one other thing i will add, is if they do a biopsy, start doing research on prostate cancer, what the Gleason scores mean and how they grade it. a gleason score 7 can be a 3+4 or a 4+3, with the latter being worse.
Also reasearch the different treatments and the side effects of each. That way when you see the dr and he gives you the results, you can ask informed questions and not be overwhelmed. Also take your wife with you there is a lot of information to absorb. The dr may recommend one certain treatment, but research ALL the the options. you need to be your own advacate
Ive talked to guys who went in to the dr to get their results and the dr starts throwing numbers at them that they didnt know what they ment and they couldnt understand what all he was telling them. | |
