N.W. Ohio | After reading all the threads in this post, I have to ask. How does a creek have that kind of water flow if it’s dry enough that you’re going to irrigate? I can understand adding some bushels to the top end even when you’re not in an extreme dry condition. But what happens during a drought, does that creek never stop flowing? Please excuse my ignorance on this. But here in NW Ohio our creeks virtually stop running most years mid-late summer. Heck, even our Maumee River which is the largest watershed in all of the Great Lakes completely stopped flowing in 1988 and likely did in 2012 as well. It just baffles me that you will have a water supply when you would need it most. | |
