| Don't know your age. But according to my understanding of the guidelines PSA test aren't recommended after 70 because most men over 70 have prostate cancer but will die from something else, I had a neighbor who in his late 70's had a high PSA and his doctor put him on estrogen. He died at 84 (I always thought he died from too many pills, because with each new side effect his doctor gave him a new prescription.) on his way to town.
