Children will see people moving around and want to move around also. Some may crawl some may do what they see. "Hey, everyone is walking around I want to do that". Of course they don't verbalize it or even think of it exactly that way but they do want to be mobile to stay with the people in their lives.

All the stuff about right brain/left brain, and all the other things brought up are junk.

Good friends have 3 children all girls, 2 walked before they were 1 year old. the 9 month old is now standing and starting to walk. The 9 month old has crawled more than the first 2 they barely crawled at all, just stood up and started walking soon as they could.

Don't worry about looking for problems where there are none.
