You average by spreading out your hedges or sales over times that statistically make sense. If one is so inclined, when the market changes, you can lift and reenter. The percent isn’t luck, it’s understanding your floor, your ceiling, typical, and your stomach for risk. Once again, go back and read the stop light analogy.
