This is my 4th year of planting Alta’s iGrowth hybrids on johnsongrass infested fields and after some experimentation have settled on the 2168IG as my hybrid of choice. The agronomics in these hybrids are admittedly not the best, particularly with regard to drought tolerance, but I’ve been pretty happy with the weed control of the Imiflex herbicide which at this stage of the game I’d say is more effective on johnsongrass and shattercane than Roundup. I’ve heard good things about the Sorghum Partners Double Team system but I haven’t planted any yet.
