It’s been a long time since I’ve been involved with oats but I seem to remember seeing some green even in the grain and swathing. Definitely want it done before the straw starts to break and start losing grain. This was for feed not seed so that might make a difference.
I believe if the grain moisture is below 30 percent it is matured and just needs to dry, but I’m no expert.
When do you swath oats to use a pickup head on combine?
