Around here it is flown on around late August. Expect half a stand. A corn variety that has less leaf area helps and tilled ground helps in my experience. Some years it works great and some a dud. A good stand will hold back weeds very well in the spring and use up moisture. I’d be more apt to drill oct 15th than fly it on if you know you can have corn out in decent time.
