Subject: Bailing First cutting alfalfa

NE Kansas
Cutting our first cutting of alfalfa that was planted this Spring. Using a moisture probe and sticking it several times in the bale and coming up anywhere from 16% to 24%. These are big square bales 4x3x8 ft bales. Also, it has quite a few pig weeds in it, and I think that is what driving moisture higher in spots in bale. How concerned should I be about bales molding or heating up. The alfalfa is dry as far as I can tell. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
