Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana | The town of Hagerstown Indiana's most famous family was the Teetor family.
They were instrumental in Perfect Circle piston rings.
Ralph Teetor was blind, even so, he is credited with inventing the Cruise Control for cars....he called it the Speed-O-Stat along with many other inventions.
The picture below was posted on a local Facebook page, I'm sure Macy was related to Ralph but I'm not sure how.
I had no idea that electric cars went back that far.
The following was posted with the picture "In 1943, Macy Teetor resorted to using his Detroit Electric car to avoid the limitations placed on gasoline by rationing".
