I think many “marketers” forget that ear development is not always simple either. Rounds are set beginning at V4 and can change anytime between then and pollination. Longs are pollinated and then have about 20-30 days of vulnerability before they reach the dough and the more time until they reach the dent stages. Then don’t even get me started on test weight ;)

We’ll know much much more in about 30 days time. How did pollination go? How has grain fill gone? What will be the late July/early August forecast for grain development in both corn and beans, after all, a lot of corn got planted late and won’t pollinate for another 2-3 weeks.

Until then, everything is purely a “this is what I think” conversation
