Subject: RE: liberty plus roundup post on beans

What am I wrong about? Guys cutting rates mid way through round ups glory days? Round up made it possible for many to put the cultivators in the fence row, cover more acres and expand, and people took advantage of it and ruined it. It's going to happen again with liberty whether or not I decide to cut my rate by 7 oz this year or not. When liberty came out it was 32 oz to the acre, now guys are upping the rate to 40 plus and spraying twice with it trying to get good kills. Its going to happen again. If I'm hurting myself this year by cutting my rate back, so be it. The prior generations got away with it and didn't care. I'm not try to argumentative or contrary, I"m just seeing it for what it is, regardless if we cut rates or use higher rates or whatever the hell we do, resistance weeds are going to continue to be an issue in the future. I like to compare to drinking, the more person drinks and becomes reliant on it the more tolerance they build and the more they need.
