Coming from experience, make sure that the condensor is not frozen up after the door is left open. This has happened to us before, now we lock it every time we open and close it.

The first time the door was left open, it was simply closed and left to refreeze. Unfortunately, the condensor had iced over and it's behind a panel on the inside so we couldn't see it. Things got worse there for the next day and we ended up pulling everything out, defrosting the condensor with fans and a blow dryer and putting it all back in.

Next time that happened we went right to defrost the condensor then reloaded and nothing even got soft.

**our freezer starts to beep after being left open for an amount of time, probably only for 8-12 hours at a time in the above examples so never let anything defrost much.
