Subject: Re: Frozen chicken breasts

I don't buy any meat from the grocery store anymore. I buy everything through a butcher. The chickens we get are Miller Amish chickens. I get the whole chicken. I don't know if they are really raised by Amish (I doubt it), but the difference in taste is very noticeable. I think Tyson brines all their chicken. Personally, I prefer to add my own salt. From what I understand, one of our local grocers started carrying Miller's. If you just need the breasts, skin it and cut it yourself and save some $...the parts you don't use can be used to make chicken stock for rice, casseroles, ect. which can then be frozen. Better yet, make chicken and noodles with the dark meat.
