West Central Wisconsin
Everything was excellent, the gumbo especially. A little cayene and "Sho-Nuff" seasoning helped hide the liver taste of the dirty rice. We were concerned about after effects of all the spice, peppers and onions but the Pepcid did it's job. The jambalaya was made in the crockpot but everything else she made within 2-1/2 hours after she got home from work. As far as the Hurricanes go my wife and I had seen them when we were in Memphis last year but didn't get around to trying them, so it was something new for us too. I'm more of a bourbon drinker myself so we had to buy light rum, something we don't typically stock in the liquor cabinet. The success of this theme dinner has us looking ahead for the next one...maybe St. Patricks Day. Joe.
