| Are you positive they are gophers and not praire dogs? I know prairie dogs are very populous in ND, like grassland like pastures, and live in huge colonies that span 100s of acres. They will eat soybeans. Gophers tend to be solitary, prefer eating roots and they tunnel about 4" deep. If you disced it, you would have reduced the population. I just want to verify you have verified, they are in fact gophers, and you didn't just look at the field, see a few holes and say they must be gophers.
