Doesn’t your dealership check over the oil levels on the pre delivery of the combine before you get it? I couldn’t imagine sending out a combine from the shop with no oil in the gearbox. That’s the shops fault. They are suppose to check that stuff.
When I bought my 6130, although 5 years old at the time it came from the dealer with a fresh service on everything. During the demo the fan jackshaft gear box seemed loud, well come to find out they never put any gear oil back into it after draining it. They scoped it and claimed it was fine, but it still seems louder than it should be once the oil warms up.
Then last fall I had a final drive go bad, I drained the oil out of it and I found Hytran instead of gear oil like what is supposed to be in there (earlier models required hytran). So I replaced the final drive on my own dime because there was no way they'd be standing behind that if I even asked.
