Our 2014 Mitsubishi air conditioner/heat pump/double mini split doesn't cut it when the outside temp stays below 32*F for a few days.
We use the heat pump during the fall transition period we turn the heat pump off and turn the LP boiler on usually about mid October and heat the floor and baseboards up when we want/need real heat.
