Subject: RE: Probably a dumb question,

What size bottom, how deep, & soil type? I used to have a strong u240mfd, dynoed 240+ stock. I pulled a IH 5x18" 710 plow 10-12" deep in heavy black - sab,e & ipava loa s. Tractor handled it pretty easily. Probably,y would have pulled 6x18s but doubt if it would have plowed many ore acres in a day currently pulling 7 16" on land plows - IH 700 & 720, with a Magum 275 & 315 12" deep, wouldn't want any bigger plow behind either tractor.

My bigger concern would be the 1450 plow. BIL had a couple 5 bottoms. He came over & helped me plow a couple times. They sure aren't the plow a 710 or 720 are.
