I don’t let anyone else run mine anymore at all, period. Last guy who ran it was in a hurry, tractor and baler was sitting there, and I wasn’t there yet.
He backed into something with the bale on the chute, bent the chute up, then didn’t have the remote engaged for the bale chamber pressure, and ignored the overload alarms and tried to bale. Figured out to engage the remote for bale pressure, which broke twines/caused a miss tie. Proceeded to back up, catching the lower twine in the pickup. Wound a half a ball of twine up in the pickup, and burned up the pickup slip clutch. And bent the pickup bars and ruined most of the bearings. Then thought I was the bad guy because I just took the baler home, and said he was on his own.
Trust me. Even if you go bale it for him for free, you’ll be money ahead | |
