Subject: RE: Iowa Trucker Cause of Death

SW OH
My wife has several family members that are long term meth addicts. One in particular started in the late 70s and is still using daily today. I feel like I know a lot about the drug and it's effects. 30 hours is nothing. When a user passes 7 days without sleep, then things get obvious. What most of you perceive a meth addict to be is someone past 10 days without sleep. There are different levels of use. The hard core users are easy to spot. The moderate users function like normal people and you would never know when you meet them. Meth gets unfair criticism compared to other recreational drugs. As far as the addiction it's no different than any other drug. I know a few who can have a weekend blowout a few times a year and never touch it the rest of the time. Nicole Labor has come to our safety training at work and given us this same speech several times in the past few years.

I think there is much more to this story about this truck driver. In an effort to bring closure to this a short, simple cause of death trumps further investigation.
