Subject: RE: ?Upgrade for Win 7 ??

East central Iowa

As a user of win7, win 10 and Linux I have the opinion that you'd waste time and money to "upgrade."

I use Firefox because Chrome is non longer supported on Win7.  But I have a firewall, Malwarebytes and AVG anti virus too.  To date after being on the internet since the days of 2400baud dial up I've had one(1) virus many years ago.

I edit video, email, check multiple sites and work in a database as well as use several photoshop and acad programs.

My Wiin10 computer often "updates" and in the process deletes files, shortcuts and resets things I don't want reset.  Those updates also often take a considerable amount of time during which the computer is unusable.

Somebody might try to say that these upgrades are shutting the door on hackers or virus, I disagree.  One door closes and they open another.

To avoid problems:

Stay away from porn.

Don't open emails from strangers.

Don't click on links in emails.

Don't click on links in Facebook, Instagram, X.  Or others.

Use common sense, i.e. your bank or credit card company doesn't email you and ask for information or tell you to click on some link to check you account.
