you could try the metal staples across the crack then use a 3M scotch-weld 2216 or 125. 2216 is a rather long setup time to full cure (7 days or so) and was originally for NASA spacecraft. It is used to adhere some really slippery plastic bearing materials.
125 is supposed to be a fast setting version of 2216.
