Thumb of Michigan | We had on farm storage for everything we used- except we had rented LP tanks. Converted some NH3 tanks in about 2005. Best decision we made, but still I kick myself for not doing it sooner. Paid them off very quick.
NH3 tanks (with tags on them) were a good buy then, when everyone was getting away from ammonia. Not real sure who even sells it in the Thumb anymore. But I digress: I'd buy a 1000 gallon tank before heating season, I don't think it'll take long to pay for. Call a few suppliers, sometimes they have used tanks they'd sell. | |
