Have someone measure a harness or install a 1W 7V zener diode. The caveat here is if you have a short on the 5V the zener will smoke.
The resistor is matched to the load of the 5V sensor. Need to know the current draw of the 5V sensor to calculate the resistance needed.
I’m thinking it will be under 500 ohms.
