South Central Indiana | Have a flow meter like one in link on my NH3 bar

The other day I was getting dropouts on rate/flow (both read zero) so got a new sensor and installed and seen rate and manifold pressure were way out of wack when I started back up so flipped to manual and set manifold pressure back ballpark where it had been running for a pass and seen rate on 450 was reading about double what it should had been. Called dealer and they told me needed to change meter cal to double what I had been using (from 171 to 342) so I did and it seemed to work right and had no more dropouts.
So my question is this, since I didn't change the meter itself why does cal change with new sensor? Only thing I could figure was new sensors count on both the rising and falling edge of the waveform and the old sensors only count on one or the other? | |
