Elizabethtown, ky | in running a similar setup, except i have surespeed and sure force. there is no way currently supported to view the scale reading on the incommand with the RCM2 setup. i believe they are working on that but who knows when it will be. the reason its that way is because the scale reading is done through the kinze PMM on your current setup. when going to the RCm you will plug the seed tube sensor in at the row unit and it will feed the downforce, clutch and seed tube info through the planter control module. there is a possibility and i didnt try this on mine, but you could possibly leave the kinze PMM tied into the system and let it read the scale weight and transfer to the cab but do all your pop and singulation read outs through the PCM. the only question would be if the system would operate with 2 different planter population modules.
you problaby have the old "dumb" sensors they call them that will not read singulation. you can update sensors and get singulation with the new RCM2's or you can keep the sensor you have now and it will plug up and read population like it always has. one thing to note will be the connection on your seed tube and on the RCM there is an adapter that you have to buy from ag leader to plug in the sensors capable of doing singulation, im not sure if its different on the older sensors. | |
