Subject: RE: Monitoring downforce on ag leader

Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80

I just have the old Ag Leader 2 channel system, only set up for monitoring.
I run an 8 row Corn planter, with sensors on rows 2,3,6 and 7 (2 and 7 on on the wings)

I have used JD Air bags, added to my older JD7200 planter. I'm No-till mostly.

You will see a lot of variability, going thru the field (and per row unit) = that's why engineers probably decided on hydraulic downforce measuring 5 times a second, was eventually necessary.

I don't change my air pressure settings very often; and only add one bag of Corn seed, per box = limits the amount of added weight, per row units = less variability.

I have 4 row sensors, cables, and 2 channel downforce module. (for monitoring only)

I'll add a "Line Art" diagram, and you will see, on the Right side, the sensors and downforce module (the very bottom 1/3 is hydraulic sensors and control = don't need for "Monitoring Only"
