NEND | I hope I tell you all the correct settings here, I’m looking on the Display Simulator online as I have my tractor unhooked from my spreader right now. I have a pull type spreader controller by a Raven 660 that is connected to a 4640 display (this would be the same setup as you’re doing, with a FieldDoc Connect cable). I can do variable rate with it by loading a prescription into the 4640. I think it’s actually a little easier to make them communicate with each other on the 4640 vs the 2630. I don’t think I had to enter the baud rate in the 4640 setup. You have to set up your Com Port in Menu>System>Com Port Settings. In there is where you have to select which com port your dealer installed the wires in. Sounds like you may have this done already, but I’m just letting you know the steps. After you open the appropriate com port settings window, click on Device Type and select Field Doc Connect. Click OK, then click in the Manufacturer box and select Raven, then Save. After you Save it, you can go into the Diagnose window where it should show Communication Status and AR Message lit up. Last message received should show some activity also. Click out of there and go to the main screen. Your Work button should say Auto. If you go into your Setup window, you should see your Tractor and Sprayer under Equipment. If you click on the Sprayer, a window will pop up and it should say Raven under the Sprayer box if you have it set up correctly.
