Midwest | I'm guessing you're talking about JD Operations Center?
If so, I use both and they each have their pros and cons as usual.
OC is free, support is good, updates come pretty quick, you don't need to buy or install any program since it's online.
SMS you pay for Basic or Advanced, has to be installed on a computer, usually 2 updates a year unless fixes are needed in between, support is good.
You don't HAVE to pay for the annual fee for SMS but that's supposed to limit your access to support and also won't be eligible for the updates. That's fine if you don't read files from the latest updated screens like the 2630. I see their latest incommand updates required an SMS update, so they are playing the game of if you update the display or try and read data from an updated display you'll need the newest version of SMS.
OC can import the CNH data, if you search 3rd party file import in the help section you'll see a table of what's supported. Both import 20/20, etc
Both systems can export variety locator stuff for JD displays. Only SMS can export variety locator for other combine monitors like CNH, Ag Leader, or PP. |
