Subject: RE: Finished renewing (Case) Ingersoll 4118 "All Hydraulic" Garden Tractor

Coldwater, Michigan
My first lawn mower, as an adult was an Orange (Flambo Orange) and Yellow Case 444 Demonstrator, 14 HP Kohler engine with a 48" deck and a 41 inch Rototiller. Yes you could run the tiller forward or backward. And 444 was 14 HP and the first four designating that it was a High Profile. Case made the same tractor as a 224 and that meant it was a low profile (smaller tires) and 14 HP.

The Demonstrator was a special built tractor, of several different models, just like the production model, except it had black decals on the fenders and on top of the hood. And the decals said "Demo" for the top of the fenders, or "Demonstrator" of the hood.
