Coldwater, Michigan | After 6 years it is done! Finished last night. Every part in this Tractor and mower was taken apart, examined, repaired, or replaced, depending on what we saw. Rear end taken out and adjusted/service. Engine taken apart and carbon taken off the pistons, valves, and valves adjusted. Lots of paint, black on engine and Case Power Red on everything else. Used 4-5 coats of Power Red followed by 2 coats of Clear Coat with Hardener.
This has the 18 hp Onan engine in it for power. Case used Onan twin cylinder engine and designated them with such as 446 meant 16 HP and 448 meant 18 HP. Ingersoll continued the trend when they bought Case GT, then when they spun the engine around to throw grass to the RH side and put an electric clutch on them they went to a 4 digit number, but used the number to again signify HP. The "All Hydraulic" tractors were made in 16, 18, and 20 HP versions. The number on this one being 4118 is an 18 HP version, where if it was 4120 would signify a 20HP version.
This is an "All Hydraulic" tractor, not Hydrostatic! All Hydraulic goes beyond what Case was doing for GT. This thing not only moves the tractor forward and back, but has power steering, Hydraulic power to the mower deck, Snow blower, garden tiller, wood splitter and any other 2 way hydraulic powered implement that is appropriate.
Anyway it is done, and now for sale!
