Hope it works for you. I was running the 2022 firmware refusing to upgrade for the very reason discussed here. But even that plug in would not make SMS backward compatible enough to work. Then tried the newer versions. I understand why the new firmware won't import, but there's no excuse for not importing the data from the old versions.
