Essentially the same as booting into a PC's BIOS, wiping the internal memory and reinstalling the OS. Catch is, the dealer has to do it because he has special software that us lowly farmers can't have.
That being said, I have forced software onto other Deere hardware before, but it must be done through a Deere display.
