Leesport, PA | The touchpad on our Dell Inspiron 5515 running Windows 10 is not working. When I first started troubleshooting, I could find the touchpad controls by searching but the not all of the options were available such as turning the touchpad on/off. As I've gotten further into troubleshooting, the touchpad controls have disappeared completely. Looking in the Device Manager I do not see any touchpad options in the Human Interface Devices section or the Mice and other pointing devices section.
I suspect that a driver (maybe not the right term) needs to be downloaded/added to the laptop. I've ran Windows updates and looked for driver updates on Dell's site - neither step has helped. Any thoughts on where to turn next? | |
