I will agree that anywhere off the Interstate in Montana is a poor place to try and drive an EV. At least, your location is a lot closer to I90, where there lots of chargers. US Hiway 2 from the state line to Whitefish is 533 miles without a Tesla charger. If I want to visit Glacier Park and use my Tesla, I have to head north to Canada, where the Superchargers are more plentiful.
