I think you would be surprised how much those electric motors can pull. This vehicle will easily beat the 3.6L Durango it replaced in both power and MPG (nearly doubled). Those electric motors pull hard and smooth.

F1 has been proving this for years as they keep putting smaller engines in (currently 1.6L) to go along with their hybrid system and they are still putting out ~1000 HP.

The previous version of the F1 engines were 2.4L V8 gas only. They had to run them at nearly 20,00 RPM to get 800HP. The new 1.6L hybrids are about 12-13,000 rpm.
