We changed out our metal halide lights over to some cheap corn cob LEDs from Amazon at least 5 years ago. A couple used as yard lights that are on 24/7 because we just bypassed the photo eye.

When it gets below zero the ones outside take awhile to come to life but the ones inside the shop have never given us any trouble.
