nw NC | From everything I have seen on videos regarding RID , the RID unit does not benefit you, it is for others ( airport ATC, Law enforcement, security providers for events, etc.) to be able to identify where a drone is in operation. The operator of the drone has no need to monitor the RID broadcast of his drone at all. Just turn RID device on and fly your drone. Your controller does not have capability to receive RID broadcast. No need to, it constantly displays location , speed, altitude, etc. data plus live video plus saves historical map of flight track. In the video the man uses a cell phone that he has an app ( other than Drone Go2 needed to program the device) that can receive the RID signal and displays it on a crude map on the phone screen just for demonstration purpose to show that it does work . He told the name of the app. A paranoid nosy neighbor could get the RID signal receiver app and track any drone flight you make in your area.
