Northern Nebraska | I agree with everything you said except the part about food monopolies those definitely exist. Price gouging does not need a crisis to be price gouging it can happen at any point in time. This is about the increase in profit that the grocer chains are taking. I don't deny that other companies take more profit. But if it truly was inflation and not corporate profiteering then the corporations wouldn't be making extra money exactly like my original posts stated.
