Big dairy here talked big on buying crops and putting manure back. YEAH!! Then what do they do, rent or buy ground away from you and all your neighbors. I always love the hat in hand "won't you sell us hay corn silage etc , how about take manure" My response is the same "you created your problem ran everyone over and it still isn't enough?"
they'll gladly clean cut your fields and bring you back the waste stream that is a liability to their operation. such great partners, you own the land that is an expensive low return asset, they'll run the high margin business that the government funded construction on for their manure handling and digester and run with their non-local workforce, maybe hick can come up with a way for them to want to be firefighters, but I doubt it |
