Southeast WI | Homelessness is a multifaceted issue - many reasons, many beyond the scope of what we would consider normal issues that cause it.
Are we being disarmed? Just drove by a sign advertising a gun show next week in a nearby town. We just had a 5 gun raffle for our FFA alumni fundraiser - well it was basically advertising for the event and not the focus. And the 6K we netted off that was 1/4 of what we raised. Nobody was shutting that down. Plenty of demand. Oh, well, wait, we did have to call the gun raffle a "sporting goods raffle" because Facebook pulled our post immediately. So there's that.
The border issue? Yes, lots of bluster for 4 years and little results. Lots of bluster the past 3.5 years and more coming in. Just stop them, give them legal entry and start taxing the hell out of them so they understand America. Maybe that would slow it down? There's a reason it hasn't stopped. Bluster is for show and to appease you, etal, but the people with money want this to continue and it will.
