Be sure the signal line from the dryer and the destroke hose are not switched at the governor.

The leak could be part of your short cycle problem, did you cut a little off the hose when you put the new ends on?

I would be adding temporary gauges in the signal line, the destroke line, and the line feeding the air bags so you can actually see what is happening in the system.

I had a truck that short cycled and it turned out to be a longitudinal split in the signal line from the dryer to the governor. I couldn't see or hear it, but the gauges told the story very quickly.

As soon as the dryer popped off, the signal pressure would drop like a rock, signaling the compressor to turn back on prematurely.
