Subject: RE: Planting Corn in South Carolina (video)

NW Ohio
The row by row population changes and the diagonal roads across fields, Are these roads always in the same spots through the field year after year? Is it possible to "cut" them out of your field boundary? Then your planter will see that area as out of the field and the individual row shutoff's will do their thing? I believe in my farmworks software I have a tool when I edit boundaries that will allow me to exclude an area. Just a thought, not sure if it would work or not...

Also, I love the electric drives on my planter! I went the Graham EMD route for my little 6 row. Even though most of my fields are mostly square, it just makes planting so much easier. Farming is my second job so I spend many hours planting at night and having the rows shut off when and where they need to, makes this possible. I am a lot more efficient since I have added them!
