It's a 3406A. Model is a CA 280. Cat engines in Steigers are not unusual and in fact Cat was the only engine you could get in some of the earlier Series 1s and 2s. That was the beauty of Steiger. After the Series II, you could get either Cummins or Cat in any hp range. I'm not really sure how many industrials were made. I think they are kinda like Big Buds. There aren't near enough for everybody to have one who wants one but if you have the time and money you can probably find one for sale.
