I would say that whoever told you that you won't be happy at 10-12 mph in a sprayer is crazy. I have been steering a sprayer with Ontrac2, Ontrac3 and now Steady Steer. All gave good performance with the newer ones an improvement over the older ones.
To the op, get the 1200 for all of the reasons already stated.
