Glenwood, Mn | Beacon 3.0 hardware was designed in such a way it cannot handle more than 5 hz on the serial line and pair/connect. It is due to the overhead with the Apple serial protocol eating up much of the cpu resources. This is exactly why you are seeing what you are seeing and although it’s not ideal, it’s expected for this hardware. This is a known issue since its original design in 2012. Newer hardware has dual cpu for this exact issue.
Solutions are to set serial strings and rate to less than 5 hz. If more than 5 hz is needed , a jumper cable with the rx line missing has also been done.
