So, you're saying deere and case are wrong for not offering factory liquid fertilizer but horsch not offering section control is fine? Liquid fertilizer is a no go in our area but I know there is alot used in Canada. Pretty small percentage of horsch drills there? I would think section control would be a pretty big selling point in your conditions but maybe with no dry fertilizer you don't worry about it so much? $40-80/acre seed/fertilizer costs I can't imagine not running section control 'here'

Who would buy a drill with a complex section control for dry fertilizer only to have to remove it and modify it to run liquid. Far more money spent to do that than the overlap of seed for the small 38 foot drills.

When updating drills Deere didn't offer section control at that time so when did they start? Who said Horsch isn't working on section control?

Remember the topic was simple drills and all you can bring up is complex drills. How many 35-38 foot drills in your area have section control? Remember I'm trying to get a drill to perform in our area with what we have available. You don't like what we do yet say we should do an even more expensive option than what we are doing to convert a factory drill to an aftermarket mess. After cracking and ruining 3 factory Case tanks trying to hold liquid it isn't worth the hassle because there is no tank made that will fit in their place. Our area is basically 100 percent liquid or liquid plus anhydrous. You should see where they attach all those anhydrous bottles to the tractors and drills because the hills don't allow you to pull a tank cart behind as it would be a big wreck. At least we don't mess with anhydrous.
