Marshfield, WI
Chuck, Can you get a permit from Fish and Wildlife Service to shoot a couple to leave lay as a deterrent? Corn seedlings are their main target in the spring but this past summer I rebuilt a grassed waterway through a soybean field about the 1st of August after last sprayer pass. Dang things started tearing up newly seeded waterway with a mix of oats and wheat for cover. Every night we would soak it down with 1,500 gallons of water to get it started because of the drought so caught it right away. I would “check” it 3 times a day at meal times but they figured out my schedule and I would have to stop 5 times a day. Then my first deterrent disappeared. Took a couple days to figure out a bald eagle was helping the cause !
