The analysts and NFL gurus disparaged Brock and said he couldn’t play in the NFL. Brock’s success basically makes them look wrong. Couple this with the fact that Brock is a Christian and talks openly about his faith and the flood gates are thrown open to chastise and ridicule. Brock is the new Tim Tebow. The so called experts say he sucks so the narrative is set.
He was the last pick of the draft, lots of NFL scouts missed on him but he got his chance and made the most of it. I would say he has been given a lot of opportunity, maybe because he is a white Christian. Most times the last pick of the draft doesn't seen the second week of training camp. |
